From my heart, through my hands, to you...

"How did you come up with name Bella Sierra?"

The literal translation is:
    Bella -  "beautiful" in Italian
Sierra - "jagged edge" in Spanish

And yes, there is a story behind the name.  I attended a dinner party at a friend's home one evening.  When I arrived, I was greeted by two of her kitties:  Bella and Sierra.  When I said, "Hi, Bella; Sierra", I thought how pretty the two names sounded together.

I knew the translations of the words and thought how fitting the two names were.  Many of my designs incorporate Swarovski crystal, which when viewed in profile does appear to have a "beautiful jagged edge"!  It was then that I knew that this was the name I wanted for my new company.

"Besides designing jewelry, what else are you passionate about?"

I'm very passionate about the animals we share our planet with.  Pets and wildlife deserve to be treated well and to be respected.  There are many wonderful individuals and organizations that are devoted to help provide food, shelter, and medical care to needy pets and wildlife.  I am honored to support these causes.

In 2008, I walked in my first Breast Cancer 3-Day event.  It was a life-changing experience for me and I am looking forward to participating in the 2009 3-Day!  All proceeds from the sales of our Knotty Knitties items will go directly to the Breast Cancer 3-Day fund.  Thank you for your help in supporting this wonderful cause!
